Unit Description
This position is located at TD Garden, located in Boston, MA. It is home to the NHL’s 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins and the NBA’s Boston Celtics. The state-of-the-art TD Garden is a year-round, 19,600-seat arena, fully equipped with a Pro Shop, four private restaurants, 89 executive suites, 1,100 club seats, and a multi-million dollar High Definition video scoreboard. Position Summary
Direct the orderly seating of guests, the collection of tickets, and answer inquiries concerning the building, event, and other information. Perform other necessary usher functions including attend event briefing, scan customers tickets, maintain order in the aren! a, keep aisles and egress areas clear, operate elevators durin! g events, secure restricted areas of the building, and work closely with supervisors to identify and resolve issues. Interact with clients and guests to provide front-line customer service and assistance. Ensure all facility, guest and employee policies are adhered to during events as well as ensure personal compliance with working terms and conditions in Collective Bargaining Agreement. Coordinate with supervisors and management to ensure compliance with all front-of-house details. Facilitate the resolution of ticketing problems, seating problems, and guest complaints and call for assistance and report any accidents or injuries. Assist with Public Relations by maintaining proper image and generating positive public perception by maximizing positive guest experiences.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent. Previous ushering experience in an arena/stadium environment preferred but not required. Professional and personal demeanor, energetic, art! iculate, punctual, dependable, ability to work a flexible schedule, available to work nights, weekends, and holidays, ability to handle pressure effectively, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to read.
