(SMH), the leading national, non-profit organization devoted to mental health screening and education, is seeking a Program Assistant for our Mil! itary Pathways program. Be part of a dynamic organization dedicated to the development, implementation and marketing of mental health education, screening and referral programs.
The Program Assistant is primarily responsible for online and telephone assistance to all military clients who utilize SMH screening programs. The program assistant will also be responsible for specific projects, including web based research of mental health issues and industry news, inventory management and general office services as needed.
Along with a great attitude and strong organizational skills, the successful candidate will possess the ability to consistently prioritize projects to meet deadlines. As an integral part of the team, this position is a great way to be involved in a non-profit organization focused on mental health education.
Responsibilities
Proactively promote SMH program initiatives to military personnel nationwide
Provide highly de! adline-driven weekly agendas and meeting reports
Coor! dinate weekly reports and keep project status updated.
Maintain a partner contact database, ensuring that on-site event activity is fully documented and closely monitored
Establish and maintain ongoing, consistent contact with program partners, including technical assistance as it relates to program initiatives.
Provide assistance in maintaining and growing the program's social media presence
Input program registrations into a customized database
Oversee shipment of products and product inventory
Participate and contribute as a member of the Military Pathways team
Perform general office duties such as needed
Qualifications
Organized, detail oriented and able to work independently on multiple tasks
Knowledge of military culture a plus
Bachelor's Degree required (a focus in mental, behavioral, or public health preferred)
Superb customer service skills
Strong ve! rbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
