Description: Affinity Executive Search is at the momment seeking for Assistant Plant Manager ‌ right now, this position will be placed in Massachusetts. More details about this position opportunity please read the description below. Responsible for plant operations through a team of managers and supervisors. Target and achieve short and long-term operating objectives in safety & quality performance, cost! reductions, and improved efficiency while supporting a culture of positive employee relations and continuous improvement. Ensure planned production and raw inventories for each product produced to maximize efficiencies and minimize down time. Responsible for plant budget and expenses to fall within, or better than plan. Maintain and promote effective employee relations through positive communication, coaching, training, problem resolution and corrective actions. Confirm product quality meets or exceeds established standards and compliance with state and federal regulations. Management development programs to ensure bench strength of leadership team for advancement opportunities. The APM will assume all responsibilities of the Plant Manager in his absence.

Position is structured to grow into the plant manager role within a few years.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) from a four-year college or university preferred.
Minimum 7 year! s experience.
Must have manufacturing plant operations exp! erience; food/dairy experience is required dairy being strongly desired
Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of regulatory laws and responsibilities related to processing and filling.
Good understanding of budgeting and cost management.
