Description: Flowserve is currently seeking to employ Precision Assembler right now, this vacancy will be placed in Massachusetts. For detail informations about this vacancy opportunity kindly read the description below. Primary duties include:
- Performs all job functions in a safe manner and comply with Flowserve applicable Safety, Health and Environment standards policy rules and proce! dures. Wears all necessary personal protective equipment at all times. Notify the Supervisor or Assembler lead immediately of any Safety concerns.
- Review paperwork pertaining to jobs including: blueprints, Bill of Material, data sheet and work order. Note any specific order requirements. Check supplied components against Bill of Materials. Resolve any questions with supervisor or Assembler Lead.
- Review the pump cross sectional blueprint and plan sequence of the assembly operations. If necessary, discuss with supervisor or Assembler Lead. Assemble pump using a wide variety of tools, measuring devices and material handling equipment.
- Identify any conditions adversely affecting proper assembly of the pump and note accurately on a Non Conformance Report.
- Notify the Supervisor or Assembler Lead of any problem areas.
- Perform inspection and test functions as required. Inspect and test components prior to assembly as required by the Engi! neering data sheets. Complete Q.A. documentation.
- Ava! ilable and willing to work overtime as required to meet customer project commitments
- Assist other assemblers when required.
Other duties may include:
- Participate in problem solving and other work improvement activities.
- Prepare and maintain records of work performed or other data and reports required. Identify and report improper operation, or faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to Supervisor. Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition, that prescribed safety measures are followed, that established Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations are followed.
- Some limited travel may be required.
- Perform other related duties as required or directed.
Qualifications Preferred:
- High School Degree or GED with 2 years related experience.
- Basic ! knowledge of measuring systems and equipment. Basic aptitude for using Computer screens.
- Ability to read and accurately follow part and assembly drawings, engineering instructions and other documents required in the manufacturing process.
- Must be able to use own initiative, and work within general Company policy
- Includes simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to perform operations with units such as inches, decimals, fractions cups, pints, quarts, ounces and pounds.
