The US Mid-Market Go To Market team is a startup business within VMware with the mission of delighting our Mid-Market customers whil! e growing the company’s revenue in this segment at an accelerated rate. This role is responsible for creating sales plans with partners and the channel team that can be executed. Drive revenue from both existing Mid-Market customers as well as new Mid-Market customers that we will acquire. This individual will own the sales strategy, execution plan and tactical go-to-market with focused on the mid-market. This dynamic, highly-visible role will operate cross-functionally with the existing sales, channel, marketing and operations teams to build out our Mid-Market business. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in channels as well as Mid-Market customer sales with an emphasis on developing channel programs, sales incentives, call scripts and marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
o Drive bookings and customer acquisition in the Mid-Market customer segment
o Create, land and execute comprehensive sales plays
o Conduct Mid-Market sale! s enablement activities for top partners
o Drive Mid-Marke! t sales related initiatives and plays into existing inside and outside channel sales team
o Evaluate and segment existing channel capabilities, identify gaps, and lead efforts to fill these gaps
o Construct and participate in call campaigns with partners
o Coordinate and scale end-user marketing activities
o Plan, market and execute end-user webcasts, podcasts and other scalable sales activities
o Align with Mid-Market Product Marketing team to create/launch compelling end user product packing/promotions
Requirements
o 10+ years of channel sales experience in hardware or software industry
o 4-5 years of Mid-Market related experience (sales or marketing)
o Must be motivated self starter with exceptional prioritization and organizational skills
o Exceptional written, verbal and public speaking communication skills
o Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
o Ability to travel (30%)
o Bachelors degree
