Massachusetts Anesthesia Associates - part of the Somnia Anesthesia provider network - seeks qualified Per Diem CRNAs to cover the Surgery Center of New England (SCONE) located in Springfield, MA. Our an! esthesia group currently provides services for approximately 4,500 anesthesia cases annually, including ocuoplasty, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, spine/neurosurgery and urology.
Enjoy long weekends! The facility is open Monday-Thursday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but closed on Friday. The average anesthesia caseload is approximately 20 cases per day in two or three roomsâ€"mostly all are ASA PS 1, 2 or 3. The anesthesia cases are very brief, most of the optho or pain cases are under 15 minutes, the urology cases about a half hour and the orthopedic cases generally under 2 hours.
Ideal candidates embrace teamwork, efficiency, quality-management and compliance; and are comfortable with an anesthesia care team model. Fluency with retro-bulbar, interscalene, axillary and femoral blocks is a big plus, but we would be willing to train the right candidates.
