Clariant is seeking a Sales Representative to join their organization in their Northeast territory. This position will be located in a virtual home office and the territory includes New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut and part of New York. The Sales Representative will be responsible for the promotion and sales of Clariant Masterbatches products under the priorities established by management. Incumbents ! are responsible for a training territory under the general sup! ervision of the regional sales manager with assistance from the senior sale representative. Other duties may be assigned.
- Call on customers either alone or with a senior sales representative or the sales manager
- Assist in preparing territorial intelligence reports on areas such as competitive products encountered, pricing, customer plant activities, etc.
- Ensure participation and cooperation in company implemented ESHA programs. Follow all company safety rules
- Coordinate technical service by arranging for laboratory services and/ or customer consultation with technical personnel
- Handle customer problems or complaints within limits of authority, referring to the sales manager those problems of a more serious nature
- Maintain current awareness in areas related to industry developments and technological advances
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (BS), technical ! area preferred, from 4-year college or university
- 1-2 years sales/ marketing experience and/ or training with related product line; or equivalent combination of education and experience
