The company has two manufacturing locations - one at its headquarters in Wilmington and the other in Aachen, in northern Germany. KMS has worldwide sales and a strong base of loyal customers. We are now seeking additional outstanding professionals in all! aspects of our business in order to augment our world-class capabilities so we can handle our enormous growth.We have two openings Opening 1 - Shift: Days (6 am 6:15 pm) Sunday - Tuesday and every other Wednesday Opening 2 - Shift: Days (7 am 3:30 pm) Monday Friday Manufacturing Maintenance Technician: Maintains production output and quality by ensuring consistent operation of machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment. Manufacturing Maintenance Technician: Ensure operation of production machinery and mechanical/electrical systems by completing preventive maintenance requirements on equipment including pumps, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyor systems, and semi-automated production machines; following diagrams, sketches, O&M manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Remove and fix defective p! arts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power t! ools. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to retrieve and deposit maintenance information (work orders, procedures, etc).
Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Operate a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions.
Interpret plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing any other task that is requested. Skills/Qualifications: Experience with plant equipment maintenance, Technical understandin! g of how production machines work, Must be able to adhere to all safety policies, Experience working with power tools, Must possess attention to detail when working on equipment. Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical & mechanical trades.
Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations. Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system. Skill in the installation, repair and maintenance of all types of mechanical /electrical system equipment and components. Skill in both verbal and written communication.
Experience trouble-shooting and correcting PLC/Controls issues; Knowledge of complete range of system controls including power / motor circuitry, relay logic, Allen Bradley PLC Hardware, PLC programming, HMI graphic design, SCADA systems and pneumatics. Experience in developing, specifying and installing new/upgraded PLC/Process controls and AC drives. Minimum Requirements: 3! years of experience as a mechanic/electrician in an industrial manufac! turing or similar environment. We are an equal opportunity employer.
