Responsibilities include overall systems integration and testing of content delivery network (CDN) platform.
Responsible for developing interface specifications based on industry standards, defining call flows, use cases, and error handling on a pair-wise component basis and end-to-end systems perspective. Lead technical integration of numerous vendor platforms in a lab environment. Provide guidance for build-out of solution in the labs and production datacenter environments. Oversee testing activities, including development of technical test requirements, test plans, test execution, test exit reports, defect tracking and troubleshooting/triaging interoperability issues. Work directly with test teams and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and overall functioning of the solution in the lab and production environments.

Provide technical leadership with Verizon team(s) and external vendor(s). Contribute to the development of new processes, techniques, and determine implementation details of applicable standards.

Accountable for project or program results. Exerci! ses considerable judgment in developing methods, techniques an! d evaluation criteria for achieving end results.

Solves a wide range of complex problems. Provides solution to technical issues that have project-wide and revenue impact.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:
BS degree in a technical field - preferably in Video Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Experience with Digital Video Systems, Content Delivery Networks, Origin Servers, Load Blancers, Origin Servers (IIS, Apache).

Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) and Dynamic Streaming Video experience. Including Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), Microsoft Silverlight Smooth Streaming (SS), Adobe Dynamic Streaming (HDS).

Metadata experience, working with ADI specification.

8 years minimum experience in systems integration or a related field.

5 years experience with digital video and video testing concepts and parameters

Ability to work effectively in large cross-functional te! ams, with vendors/suppliers, and contractors.

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Desired Skills & Experience:
Familiarity with various browsers and clients such as Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Silverlight, QuickTime, Windows Media and Adobe Flash and Software Player

Ability to conduct interface testing in a lab (i.e. detailed knowledge of test instrumentation)

Hands-on field experience configuring, integrating, operating, maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting, or fixing operational streaming media systems
