The University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute's Applied Research and Program Evaluation Group is seeking to hire a full-time or part-time Research Analyst to work on education projects alongside e! xperienced Research Managers. The Research Analyst will collect, organize, manage, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and develop reports and presentations
Job Description:
Specific responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
In collaboration with supervising managers, develop and maintain protocols for project implementation, including quantitative and qualitative data collection, data management, data analysis, and report preparation.
Serve as an active member of the research team, contributing knowledge and experience as appropriate in support of the highest possible quality of work.
Requirements:
Experience conducting social science research and/or program evaluation.
A master's degree or comparable professional experience in education, public policy, public health, sociology, psychology, or another relevant social science discipline.
Experience with data management and ! basic quantitative and qualitative analyses.
The abil! ity to work independently to complete assigned tasks as well as the initiative to anticipate project needs and respond accordingly.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality, on-time deliverables.
Strong computer skills (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, SPSS).
Strong interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to successfully manage simultaneous multiple projects and competing demands
Additional Information:
The position will be located at either of UMDI's Hadley, MA or Shrewsbury, MA offices (depending on the preference of the Senior Research Manager) and will initially focus on supporting evaluations of college and career readiness, dropout prevention, and STEM initiatives of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Starting salary for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The UMass Donahue I! nstituteâs plan to fill this position is dependent upon project funding.
