Vinfen supports thousands of adolescents and adults with psychiatric, developmental, and behavioral disabilities at more than 300 sites in eastern Massachusetts and Connecticut.
We are looking for compassionate, caring, dynamic staff to provide outreach services to clients dually diagnosed with psychiatric disorders and substance abuse living in Cambridge and Somerville. Working as part of a Collaborative Action for Recovery (CAR) team the Substance Abuse coordinator will provide comprehensive rehabilitative case management and substance abuse counseling to adults receiving services under the Department of Mental Health's Community Based Flexible Supports (CBFS) model.
This is a fast paced, community based position geared toward helping clients engage in the recovery process and become a part of their community. Using a motivational interviewing and strengths b! ased rehabilitation approach, the Substance Abuse Coordinator ! will engage with clients and help them evaluate their current life circumstances compared to their hopes, dreams and plans for the future.
Schedule : Mon to Thur, 8am-4pm; Fri 12pm-8pm
To succeed in this role you will have good time management skills, good writing skills, strong organizational skills and 3-5 years Human Services experience. A master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field along with professional licensure (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC) is preferred. All candidates for this position must be at least 21 years of age and have held a valid US drivers license for a minimum of one year and be able to satisfactorily pass a driving check. Additionally, this position requires a fully insured vehicle that you will use in the course of your daily work. You must be willing to transport clients in your vehicle. All candidates for this position must also be able to successfully pass a CORI check.
