Responsibilities
As an Apparel Sourcing Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of production plans and processes for raw materials and finished goods and for placement of sample and production orders through delivery of production. You will partner cross-functionally to ensure all facets of vendor development, compliance, and production management are executed to New Balance standards of cost, delivery, performance and quality. You will play a key role in supporting apparel sourcing management with completion of buy-ready va! lidation prior to purchase order placement, managing finished ! goods suppliersâ capacity, and executing seasonal capacity plans. You will communicate daily with overseas offices and vendors to track buy-ready preparedness and monitor production status. In this role, you will ensure on-time delivery of quality products through close collaboration with the apparel purchasing team. You will assist in resolving production issues and problems and creating efficiencies in logistics, sourcing, and supply chain. You will be required to update production related records in a variety of systems and to maintain monthly inventories for accurate raw material tracking and actualization reconciliation.
Qualifications
Bachelorâs degree plus 3 or more years of apparel production experience.
Basic understanding of garment construction, some technical knowledge of production desired. Should also understand fabric types and costing requirements of garments.
Must have exceptional organizational and time management sk! ills with the ability to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems.
Some domestic and international travel may be required.
