Wellesley College (MA), is seeking a Director of Fellowship Programs to manage campus competitions and work with or chair faculty committees which ! evaluate candidates for national and college fellowships, provide counseling to undergraduates and alumnae in one-on-one appointments, by phone or in correspondence, concerning major fellowships, essay and proposal writing and the graduate study abroad these fellowships often entail. Recruit, mentor and advise potential fellowship candidates and provide appropriate information sessions and workshops to develop essay and proposal writing and interviewing skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must effectively communicate program information and requirements to all students; identify, recruit, and prepare qualified applicants for national and institutional fellowships; manage budget for endowed fellowship funds; develop collaborative working relationships with faculty partners and Center for Work and Service colleagues; effectively steward donors; and build relationships with foundations. Advanced degree in higher education and minimum of 5 years of ex! perience in counseling and management in student services envi! ronment within higher education required; Ph.D. preferred. This is an 11-month position in the Wellesley College Center for Work and Service.
