Software Engineer - Componentization
Location: Natick Massachusetts

Join a small dynamic team responsible for the componentization infrastructure that supports all MathWorks products and internal tools. Help design and implement the next generation of to! ols and technologies used to build the MathWorks family of products. Work closely with development to assist in and improve the performance of building our systems and testing our software.
Responsibilities
Work with other developers throughout the company to diagnose and fix software build problems
Design and implement new componentization infrastructure to enable faster and more reliable software development
Design and implement new componentization validation techniques to prevent recurring problems
Document work to help train and educate other developers about our build and componentization systems
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree, or a PhD degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with XML
Experience with programming and debugging scripting languages like Perl or Python "Toolsmith" attitude, craf! tsman, enjoys writing utilities and automating processes to st! reamline development
Excellent project coordination and planning skills
Comfortable with interface design and refactoring Independent learner and self-directed, takes initiative while working within a team context
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and balance priorities with good time management
