The Manager, Compensation and Administration will report into the VP of Sales Operations a! nd will help shape and execute the ongoing sales compensation ! strategy to maximize sales force effectiveness in alignment with the DePuy Synthes Spine growth plan. The Manager will also be responsible for managing and administering the Field and Management Incentive Compensation Plans and will develop and manage compensation infrastructure including position titles, levels, and compensation structures. Manages the accurate and timely distribution of incentive earnings to the field organization; ensures the accuracy of all compensation related data and reports and oversees problem solving and responses to inquiries from the field. Will support the development and deployment of sales compensation plans, principles, and guidelines; supports the design of new compensation plans and contents to address business goals; ensures sales compensation and incentive plans comply with employment laws and internal systems requirements; provides ongoing plan maintenance to ensure they remain current and relevant in changing market conditions and revi! ews selective benchmark positions against the market to determine competitiveness.
Other responsibilities will include Talent Development and Performance Management; providing clear and visible direction to teams designed to create a common vision and universal understanding and commitment to the attainment of company objectives. Responsible for the motivation, coaching, development, and retention of members of the team; this includes: creation of individual goals & objectives aligned with company objectives; creation of individual development plans aligned with employee career goals; conduct routine performance reviews to assess performance and provide feedback and responsible for ensuring the technical competency and development of the individuals on their team. This includes the development of skills, procedure and product knowledge, and understanding of company policies and resources. Defines the procedures and organization of the Sales Compensation and Adminis! tration team to best support the field sales force and management; make! s all relevant compensation information accessible to the field sales personnel and messages and markets compensation related information to the field.
Qualifications
A minimum of a B.S. or B.A. degree is required. A minimum of 6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in compensation management is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience managing people is strongly preferred. The candidate in this role must be a results-oriented and customer-focused leader who possesses strong collaboration and communication skills. A successful candidate must have strong business acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated strategic project execution and strategic thinking skills; must demonstrate a high energy level and the ability to prioritize competing demands. Should be highly proficient in presentation software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience with Synygy Platform System a! nd/or implementation of a new commission payment system is preferred. This position will require up to 15% domestic travel and will be located in Raynham, MA.
