Responsibilities
The Claims Consu! ltant will be required to analyze coverage, investigate, evaluate, reserve and settle a high volume of commercial property claims with an emphasis on the Property segment of the Surplus Lines OBU, in accordance with established claim procedures and multi-state regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in resolving property claims in the primary and market share scenarios. S/he will also assist XL Underwriting colleagues in the securing of new business and the retention of existing accounts through forward facing client communications.
The ideal Claims Consultant candidate must have a strong knowledge of insurance coverage and claims, be detail oriented, thorough, organized and flexible; have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills; be dedicated to excellent customer service; have an ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle concurrent responsibilities; work independently, have excellent judgment an! d analytical skills, take initiative, be discreet, and exhibit! a professional demeanor
The ability to efficiently utilize a comprehensive, paperless Claims IT system is essential.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum Experience
The successful candidate for this position is likely to have a minimum of years of experience.
