Director of International Academic Services

Description: Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is hiring Director of International Academic Services right now, this occupation will be placed in Massachusetts. The Director of International Academic Services supervises International Academic Advisor(s) on the Boston and Worcester, MA! and Manchester, NH campuses; works with Admission, the Academic Resource Center and academic program directors to manage the academic placement, retention and progression of international students; works with Admission, Student Affairs and other departments to facilitate orientation of international students; manages the academic standing process for students enrolled in the English Language Academy; manages the transition process for ELA graduates transferring into regular academic degree programs; works with the Vice President of International Programs, ELA Directors and others to coordinate implementation of short-term/custom academic programs; works with the Vice President of International Programs to manage communications with SACM and other international scholarship sponsors regarding academic standing of students; provides direct academic advising services to international students; provides day-to-day management of the International Programs office in the absence o! f the Vice President of International Programs. Additional res! ponsibilities may be assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
Required: A BS/BA in counseling, international studies, education or a related field; a minimum of three years experience in a college or university advising, academic counseling or admissions office; experience working with international students; an understanding/appreciation of cultural differences; demonstrated ability to work individually and as a member of a professional team, establishing strong working relationships across campus constituencies; excellent interpersonal, written, oral and computer skills; must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Desired: A master's degree in higher education, international studies, counseling or related field; proficiency in student academic management software.
