Reporting directly to a Pa! rtners eCare Applications Manager for the Revenue Cycle Support Team, the Applications Coordinator executes tasks as assigned by the Applications Manager and in their project plans for support of Revenue Cycle Security as well as general technical support of the Revenue Cycle project.
Specifically, the Security Support Applications Coordinator will execute assignments and be responsible for providing system expertise to both end-users and members of the Partners eCare PMO for security-related tasks.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Applications Manager, the Security Support Applications Coordinator will participate in efforts to resolve security issues/requests, understand Epic security application and provide other various support roles in a customer service oriented manner. The coordinator will:
Execute work assignments, priorities, and best use of technology for ongoing system activities.
Work with Applications Managers and the Partners Technical r! esources to execute work requirements, communicate activities, determine priorities, and provide technical recommendations for best use of technology.
Troubleshoot application, operational, or customer service problems and take corrective action to resolve those problems.
Participate in efforts to develop processes and procedures for the support of Revenue Cycle Partners eCare security to support the Epic implementation in various ways.
Provide security support on Revenue Cycle Partners eCare Epic Applications.
Provide technical security support to the Partners eCare Revenue Cycle team
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Execute tasks including application administration and monitoring.
Assist with troubleshooting efforts to accurately document Epic security appl! ication problems and their probable causes, and work closely with developers and other technical resources to identify, test, and implement solutions.
Execute release testing on application changes delivered by the vendor related to security.
Analyze new system enhancements and determine their fit here at Partners HealthCare.
Operate as part of a team of âSystem Expertsâ in a customer-oriented manner.
Build relationships with specific business partners to support security application design, build, testing and deployment
Other duties as assigned by the Applications Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ experience in information systems, including extensive experience with supporting large, complex, mission critical systems (within the healthcare industry preferred).
Direct experience in providing appli! cation support services, including monitoring and troubleshooting, as w! ell as participation in or leadership of issue tracking, communication, and escalation processes and procedures.
Direct experience with and participation in Help Desk / Support Center activities, preferably within the healthcare industry.
Experience with healthcare revenue cycle systems preferred.
Experience with document management to assist with the creation, management, and versioning of support and implementation documentation.
Epic Certification desired or must obtain Epic Certification as outlined by program requirements
Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required
Demonstrated strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing technical processes and procedures.
Ability to work with technical resources and provide direction.
Ability to build consensus with staff and leadership.
Excellent organizational skills, with ! an eye for detail and ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at the same time.
Ability to prepare effective written materials for use in presentations, meetings, and final project documentation.
Complete work assignments in accordance with an established project timeline. Informing manager(s) of issues requiring their direct attention.
Ability to understand the work environment and competing priorities in conjunction with developing/meeting project goals.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Working Environment
Full-time position in office environment based in downtown Boston (Lafayette Center)
On call rotation responsibilities, including after hours, weekend, and holidays. Rotation varies as staffing fluctuates but ideally not more that once every 8 weeks.
May require local travel to any Partners entities plus limited travel to Wisconsin, the corporate headquarters and train! ing facility of our vendor.
Other local travel to attend meeti! ngs and professional development sessions.
