The Laboratory Systems Analyst (LIS) supports the integration and development of clinical information systems. Responsibilities as a Laboaratory Syst! ems Analyst include the installation, testing, customization and implementation of Laboratory software. Analyst will lead large, complex projects; including the development of detailed project plan tasks, timelines, technical specifications, testing plans, and cut-over plan. The Systems Analyst will work closely with other analysts, engineers, architects, team leads and managers to collaborate on system design.
Responsibilities:
- Provides project leadership for complex projects following all project management methodology, meeting all skill level expectations
- Leads in the design and documentation of system requirements.
- Participates on and/or leads project teams to implement complex solutions that improve the clientâs (internal to IT and external to IT) business objectives.
- Participates in the development of policies and procedures to support system.
- Creates thorough test plans and performs all relevant testi! ng of EMR and other clinical application programs and integrat! ion programs including unit, system, functional, regression, stress/load, integrated and disaster recovery testing. Assesses test results to validate the data integrity.
- Monitors vendor software releases, tests and implements upgrades or maintenance patches to ensure current version is supportable and scalable.
- Knowledge of the system data model and assists clinical and business partners (internal to IT and external to IT) with EMR and other clinical application enhancement/optimization needs.
- Writes functional and technical specifications for complex system modifications and enhancements and develops new programs for existing systems from technical and functional specifications as assigned.

- Bachelorâs degree, The position requires 5+ years supporting Sunquest Clinical Lab as a Systems Analyst
- Extensive background implementing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining laboratory information systems, ideally Sunquest.
- Background deploying, and maintaining Sunquest Clinical Lab.
- Candidates may come from either other hospitals or outreach laboratories.
- Experience with Atlas and a document imaging system are highly desired.
