The Economic Capital and Stress Testing Intern focuses primarily on credit risk models for CFG portfolio. Each Risk Analyst Intern assists team members by analyzing and evaluating mod! el data, structure and classification needs, as well as assisting with projects that support the economic capital and stress testing. The Risk Analyst Intern will deliver a final, end of summer presentation to peers, coaches and other colleagues.
Primary responsibilities include:
Support monitoring portfolio quality changes
Prepare and set standards of practice/policies for monitoring of portfolio
Support running economic capital and sensitivity analysis
Recalibrate macroeconomic scenarios using a combination of economic theory, statistical software (Stata, R) and third-party vendor solutions.
Enhance microeconometric models depending on experience and/or organize and help to communicate results
Qualifications
Graduate student currently enrolled in Masters, MBA or PhD program on a highly quantitative discipline.
Required Skills/Experience. At least 2 year experience in applied economics, fina! nce or statistics or quantitative discipline, specifically:
Strong VBA or Excel Macro skill
Good understanding of programming
Superior analytical, research, and problem solving skills
Keen attention to detail
Data management experience
Statistical modeling
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Good communication and presentation skills
Able to synthesize results of complex models into clear and effective communications.
Economic and Econometric theory and their application a plus
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
