Role:
The Strategic Relationship Manager will manage, grow (new assets) and re! tain advisor relationships by using proven sales strategies an! d tactics including educating and training new and present advisors on the value, benefits and features of TD Ameritrade Institutional products and services. This positions will evaluate advisor needs to increase adoption of TD Ameritrade Institutional products and services and seek methods and opportunities to improve advisor profitability and revenue through adoption of TD Ameritrade Institutional products and services. This role will combine relationship management skills with asset growth (sales) skills to achieve quarterly and annual growth, retention and yield targets.
This role will be covering a New England territory, and the preference is for someone to live in the territory.
Responsibilities:
Combine disciplines of TD Ameritrade Institutional product knowledge and sales to capture net new assets from advisor clients and educate (train) clients on products, services, benefits and features of TDAMERITRADE Institutional platform
Parti! cipates in trade show, best practice events, workshops and conventions
Strengthen existing client relationships and establish new client relationships through courteous, professional and prompt service to advisor clients
Facilitate demonstrations, conferences and workshops to instruct advisors on proper use of institutional web products and portfolio management software
Facilitates onsite consulting engagements to bring best practices, operational efficiencies, and technology solutions to improve the efficiency of our advisors businesses
Contribute to Institutional Sales team by striving toward quarterly and annual objectives and providing key client feedback to management.
Demonstrate cooperation and offer assistance to achieve department objective
Develop and maintain value added working relationships with advisors and co-workers
Develop full understanding of the advisor, their investment objective and impact ! on the organization to fully understand and achieve business growth, re! tention and yield objectives
Understand, utilize and stay current with industry best practices, financial markets, technology products, regulations, competitive pressures, services, workflow, demographics and systems knowledge to optimize results
Adds value to the advisor relationship with every interaction
Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field
Five to seven years experience in financial services preferably in sales and progressive client service/relationship management role
Series 7/63
Can effectively analyze situations, applying solutions to achieve resolution
Is able to identify and balance the needs of multiple stake holders
Extensive knowledge of the client segment, organization, product, industry, and end client
Demonstrated knowledge of TD Ameritrade Institutional business and products
Up to 50%! travel might be required
