The Intern will write, edit and proofread written materials with close attention to detail, and coordinate approvals. The Intern will interact with internal subject matter experts at all levels (i.e. legal, sales, operations, finance, IT, etc.) and gather information, research and write responses. The intern will assist with organization of onsite events and other communication activities.
Qualifications
In order to be eligible for the internship, the candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related major. Juniors and seniors are preferred. New college graduates will not be considered. The position is scoped for 30-40 hours per week during the summer and approximately 20 hours per week in the fall (while classes are in session) through December 2013.
Candidate is required to be organized, collaborative and deadline driven to handle a wide range of internal & external ! communications, including project management, intranet content, announcements and presentations. The preferred candidate will have well-developed research, writing and organizational skills and precise attention to detail. The candidate is required to have the ability to manage and track on project details and timelines, to multi-task in a fast paced environment and to tie together information to ensure consistency of voice. Strong interpersonal skills are also required. Candidate is required to have 2-3 years of writing/editing experience and to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
The position is located in Raynham, MA. Candidates must be available to provide their own transportation to this location. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
