Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Finance Director who will be manage, control, and direct the accounting and financial functions for a global client account in a client-facing, high visibility role.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
ï§ Maintains financial and work management systems with a high degree of data int! egrity to ensure sound management decisions can be made throug! h standardized reliable reporting.
ï§ Manages the global financial reporting process, coordinating budget development, month end close, financial analysis and benchmarking, and communication of process to client and management team
ï§Oversees all aspects of accounts payable, charge-backs to users, maintaining the general ledger, funding requests, and balance sheet reconciliations.
ï§ Recommends and implements policies and procedures to standardize accounting practices and internal controls across multiple geographic regions.
ï§ Serves as a financial liaison between our global management organization and the client. Serves as the key point of contact for clientâs team related to all financial matters.
ï§ Develops and/or refines financial and information system strategies and objectives.
ï§ Directs the preparation and interpretation of the portfolioâs financials and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure timely and accurate operations re! ports are distributed to the client and our management team.
ï§ Ensures proper accounting systems and processes are in place and maintained in accordance with GAAP.
ï§ Oversee the annual budgeting and periodic forecast process.
ï§ Maintain working knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, Master Services Agreement (MSA) and any relevant amendments or appendices.
ï§ Identify and implement process re-engineering and cost savings opportunities.
ï§ Ensure compliance with GAAP, Jones Lang LaSalle Internal Audit and Client Accounting Services SSAE16 internal review standards.
ï§ Qualified reviewer for all monthly checklists, internal control points and audit workpapers as required.
ï§ Corporate finance management including: annual and periodic budgeting for the Jones Lang LaSalle P&L for the assignment, monitoring accuracy of the income statement, corporate receivables, and quarterly revenue attestation.
ï§ Oversee the training, deve! lopment and workload of a global accounting team staff across geographi! c regions.
Qualifications
ï§ A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
ï§ Experience working within other geographic regions/countries
ï§ Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
ï§ CPA and/or MBA is preferred.
ï§ 5 years of direct management/supervisory experience.
ï§ Audit/Internal Controls background is a plus.
ï§ Strong accounting skills and attention to detail required.
ï§ Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
ï§ Proficiency in computer-based accounting applications required. Experience with JDEdwards World or JDEdwards EnterpriseOne platforms is a plus. PeopleSoft Financial System experience preferred.
ï§ Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills required.
ï§ Strong communication skills (oral and written) required.
ï§ Customer service orientation and strong presentation skills to internal and external parties required.
! ï§ Demonstrates consistency in values, principles and work ethic.
