The Office of Marketing and Communications at Springfield College is accepting applications for the position of Web and Video Production Assistant. Und! er the direction of the Web Manager, this position will develop, maintain, and create web pages, graphics, and content for springfieldcollege.edu. In addition to web duties, this position is responsible for videotaping, producing, and editing video for optimized student recruitment on the Web and for other uses such as events.
Position Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in information technology, communications, or a related field with a minimum of two years professional experience. In addition, successful candidates will demonstrate the following: strong web communications, video, and technology skills; experience in Web development using industry standards, preferably in higher education; technical proficiency with standard Web tools and languages including HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap or similar front-end framework, Dream Weaver, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite; knowledge of PHP or other scrip! ting languages preferred. The ideal candidate is a self-starte! r, independent thinker, collaborator, and decision-maker; has a strong sense of urgency, thinks outside of the box, and constantly strives for excellence.
