Reports to: Engineering Systems Manager
The Automation Engineer will be involved with design and
installation of UniFirst Automated Control systems.
Major ! responsibilities include, but are not limited to
the following:
- Design and Procure In-House manufactured control
- Perform pre-installation site visits to ensure
facilities configurations. Provide Hands-On support
of plant systems.
- Perform detailed Site Visit Reports, Project
Documents, Invoice Processes, Equipment Installation
Schedules and other administrative support documents
as required.
- Provide On-Site supervision and direction to
expeditious installation of systems.
- Order all materials and supplies in a timely manner
of parts.
- Perform Electrical installation and design support.
- Degree in Electrical Engin! eering or equal technical
- Minimum 3 years of Process Control related design,
Skills & Qualifications:
- Programming skills using Allen-Bradley, GE
(PLC), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) systems.
Ability to program PLC logic functions , Understanding
tag base PLC
programming, Understanding all communication protocolâs
and OPC
development.
- Experience with AutoCAD to develop detailed electrical
Conveyors, Sorters, and Storage equipment
Additional Information:
- Must be willing to travel (approximately 70%). May
between cycles.
- Position is based in Wilmington, MA
