Our Technical Support Technician is a critical member of our group of subject matter exp! erts that support our field-based technicians and customers by phone and email.
The Field Support Technician reports to the Manager, Informatics at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.
Responsibilities include:
Provides technical telephone support to customers and internal business partners with a strong focus on customer satisfaction; achieves customer satisfaction through appropriate troubleshooting, timely follow-up and customer soft skills; accurately documents and communicates complaints within Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics regulatory and departmental guidelines; maintain a high level of technical expertise in IT systems while supporting Siemens Informatics, Point of Care and Automation systems; leverages team abilities to best serve the customer as well as collaborating with team members and counterparts in other parts of the organization to develop and implement action plans to resolve customer issues; appropriately escalates customer issues ! to next level support and helps drive timely resolution; ensur! es communication of customer account activity to field teams to ensure a consistent response to customers; creates an open and supportive environment, as well as, demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to Siemens Corporate and CCC TS goals; exhibits characteristics and behaviors which support Siemens Mission, Vision and Values
After completion of training on first shift, this position's regular hours will be second shift, Monday through Friday, Noon - 8:30 PM EDT. Second shift employees are eligible for a 10% shift differential, in addition to their base pay.
We have a strong preference for this position to be based in the Norwood, MA facility however, we will also consider exceptionally qualified candidates that are field-based.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience of 3-5 years in IT support; Familiar with these environments: Windows XP/2003, LAN, WAN, VPN, Servers. Ability to anal! yze and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, hubs, switches and routers. Exceptional phone, communication (oral and written) and good documentation skills are essential to success; a good attitude with a "can-do" approach must be apparent in all communications. We are also considering Medical Technologist/Technician with strong IT/LIS background.
