We are seeking a Sales Readiness Program Manager who will be responsible for the development and deployment of effective training initiatives for ! Riverbedâs newly formed Riverbed Performance Management Busi! ness (RPM) Unit. They play a key role in the development, delivery, management and continuous improvement of RPM sales training and enablement programs.
This position reports into the Manager, Global Sales Training and collaborates with team members to arm the Global Field Organization with the insight, experts, information and skills they need to increase revenue and market share Riverbed.This is a highly visible position with exposure to the worldwide sales organization. This position requires knowledge and experience in formal and informal learning. Sales on-boarding and continuous education are a large part of this role. A background in direct sales is highly desirable.
This position will require significant multi-tasking and willingness to take on various sales training and support responsibilities as assigned.Key Responsibilities: ⢠Development and maintenance of key training programs for Riverbedâs Worldwide RPM Sales Organization including: New! Hire Sales Training, Product Upgrade Training, Product/Solution launches and business process training.⢠Consult with the Global Sales Training Manager and RPM Sales leadership to identify/prioritize the top sales readiness requirements.⢠Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product Management, Solutions Marketing and other training groups to source appropriate readiness content.⢠Define and publish learning paths and execution guidance for each product launch/initiative.⢠Design and implement self-training modules and assessment for knowledge transfer and on-going development.⢠Develop cross-functional RPM Sales Council Program to define Sales favorable content and communication.o Establish participation criteria, structure, and stated goals.o Facilitate regular meetings⢠Work with external vendors to develop web-based and instructor-led learning activities. Establish instructional plans, identify subject matter experts, coordinate all necessary Riverbed resour! ces, and collaborate on content development and testing.⢠Create lear! ning tools: documentation, visual presentations and testing materials to support training programs.Experience / Knowledge: ⢠A minimum of four years of training experience in corporate sales training and curriculum development; ⢠A minimum of three years of direct sales experience in the software / technology field--preferably Application and NetworkPerformance Management and Monitoring;⢠Experience with multi-channel distribution (VAR, Distributor, Service Providers, etc.);⢠Experience or understanding of technical sales processes and issues;⢠Experience in global, enterprise training methods; ⢠Experience in conducting training needs assessments and then creating annual training plans with quarterly goals; ⢠Experience in developing course curriculum and instructional materials;⢠Experience in leading cross-functional project teams and consultants;⢠Technology based training and delivery experience.Skills: ⢠Works on assignments requiring considerable ! judgment and initiative. ⢠Ability to plan strategically and execute with tactical precision.⢠Excellent written and verbal communication skills⢠Excellent facilitation skills⢠Excellent project management skills⢠Strong organizational and follow through skills⢠Excellent decision making, analytical and problem solving skills⢠Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact effectively with all levels⢠Strong presentation / instructor led training skills⢠Strong team playerRiverbed Technology, Inc. is a San Francisco Company with excellent salary, options and benefits.
