The Marketing Communications Manager, under the direction of the Director of Marketing and the SCO Director of Sales and Marketing, is responsible for! the overall strategic development, implementation and ongoing support of the Senior Care Options communications program, and is responsible for the oversight and management of the planning, development and production of sales and member materials. In this role, the Manager will work with a team of 2-3 FTEs (matrix reporting), an advertising agency and other external vendors to design and execute multi-channel grassroots communications including primarily out-of-home advertising (newspaper, flyers, posters, transit advertising, outdoor, mall advertising, , etc.), web and occasional television, radio, and social media advertising. The Manager will work with business owners throughout the company to develop assigned marketing strategies designed to meet external communications objectives. The Manager will also work closely with other managers and writers in the Marketing Department to coordinate efforts, and ensure consistent adherence to brand standards through the proper us! e of unique selling proposition, language, logos, corporate co! lors, and adherence to all standards outlined in the corporate identity guidelines.The Manager is responsible for adherence to all CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) and EOHHS marketing regulations/guidelines, and for obtaining/documenting appropriate internal and external approvals as needed for materials managed by his/her area.
This position requires a detail oriented self-starter to oversee the development, compilation and production of multiple complex regulatory documents. The position may manage other team members, contractors and vendors to assist in completing tasks on-time per regulatory requirements.EDUCATION: (Minimum education & certifications required)Requires a bachelor's degreeEXPERIENCE: (Years of experience)- Five or more years experience working in marketing, corporate communication, or an advertising/PR agency- Experience in health care or another highly regulated industry is preferred, especially marketing Medicaid and/or Medicare! products- Experience with culturally sensitive marketing and marketing to non-English speaking groups- Experience in managing multiple outside vendor relationships (agencies; design firms; printers; mail houses) SKILL REQUIREMENTS: (Include interpersonal skills)- A thorough understanding of marketing and advertising procedures (mass and direct; off- and on-line)- Ability to work in a deadline oriented environment. Requires high level of prioritization skills in order to and vendors in order to meet multiple daily expectations. - Experience in a creative environment, and the ability to write, edit, and proofread with a high degree of competency- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written - preferably multi-lingual. Must be able to collaborate with business owners throughout the company, and to interact with clients, senior leadership, outside vendors, health care providers, and members- Analytical skills to assess program results, schedules and meet business a! nd budget objectives - Ability to edit and proofread complex technical ! documents with a high degree of competency- Self- directed, able to move projects forward with limited managerial oversightWORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel,overtime)- Requires ability to perform in a fast paced, changing office environment handling multiple demands. - Must be able to absorb large volumes of information from a variety of different sources, accurately interpret the information and present it in a variety of different written formats. - Must be able to think quickly in a highly demanding environment and exercise appropriate judgment as necessary. - Must be detail and deadline oriented.- Office environment. Activities require some off-site events and meetings within the area, with minimal over-night travel.
