Position Description:
This position plays a key role in providing accurate, efficient outsourced billing and customer care services to our clients. The successful candidate will perform and monitor the processes to activate customers, bill, collect, manage accounts receivables and resolve inquiries. An equally important aspect of the position is to ensure accurate processing of deregulated market transactions and billing of energy related charges within the customer information system. The ability to execute complex resolution paths with strong analytical skills to review data, analyze the situation, diagnose a resolution and perform necessary actions is required. Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus is expected.
Responsibilities:
Research and resolve transaction or billing exceptions daily. This could involve reviewing data, analyzing information, diagnosing the solution and performing all system and/or market correction! s.
Prepare, maintain and distribute billing, transact! ion or customer care reports as required
Monitor daily reports and perform quality control processes to ensure accurate processing of information and adherence to defined audit controls
Research and resolve identified discrepancies
Enter, validate, and maintain customer information and billing determinants as required
Investigate and resolve production related issues related to the billing operation
Provide daily support and training to external and internal personnel as required for transaction or customer care information and processes
Interact with customers for billing, accounts receivable, payment and collection inquiries and respond to inquiries and resolve problems
Respond to billing, transaction or market rules questions. This may require research of market rules, utility specific information, and/or interaction with market entities such as market clearing houses, utilities, or regulatory bodies.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or 2 years related work experience (GPA of 3.0+ in lieu of work experience)
Experience:
Exposure to billing or customer care processes is preferred. Energy billing experience is a plus.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
