Product Strategist

Schedule:
Hours to vary (avg 20-30 hrs/wk) based on need.
Work with members of the public affairs team and int! ernal stakeholders to develop communication strategies and implement plans around key product milestones, including data readouts and medical meetings for marketed and/or pipeline products.
Draft and update communications materials, including Q&As, press releases, interview briefs, speaking points/messaging, presentations, and business correspondence
Coordinate and implement public relations programs and media relations activities in conjunction with external PR agency (proactive and reactive media relations)
Assist with preparing executives for media requests and staffing interviews
Work with members of public affairs team to update content on web properties
Assist in development of content related to employee communications and philanthropy projects, including writing for intranet and development powerpoint presentations
Take on additional responsibilities/special projects as needed
Skills
10
! years of progressive experience in product communications
5 years managing functional area of expertise
Extensive knowledge of biopharmaceutical and healthcare industry
Demonstrated leadership skills and proven track record of successfully developing and executing plans
Builds strong bond with internal partners, including senior leadership and Public Affairs team
Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure; responsive to needs of reporters
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation; highly polished, mature, and articulate
Strengths with MS Office Suite
Education
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Liberal Arts or Business
