Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) has an opening for a 2nd shift Logistics Specialist II/Sr in the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) area.
This position will have! overall responsibility of approximately 15 represented material employees across 2 shifts in a fast paced and dynamic warehousing and kitting operation.
This role will ensure resources are properly aligned to meet customer contractual quality, cost and delivery requirements.
Daily interaction is required with other cross-business teams in IDS to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include: logistics, materials, manufacturing engineering, operations, production control, facilities, and finance.
This position can be a Salary Grade A02 or Salary Grade A03 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skill, experience and responsibility requirement for the position.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing the work of 15 material employees across 2 shifts in warehousing/kitting operations.

Able to lead in a team-based, customer focused, safety ! conscious manufacturing environment and make decisions with mi! nimal supervision
·
Achieving/exceeding cost, quality, delivery, safety goals as well as identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.
·
Involvement with ensuring the enforcement of company policies and procedures, workforce planning and forecasting, employee hiring and training, time and attendance tracking, area layout and flow management, and support of overhead expenses.
·
This position will requires the employee to obtain DOD Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
·
2+ years of work experience in logistics/warehousing
·
Manufacturing/logistics management or lead experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
·
Experience with Lean manufacturing
·
Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoin! t, Project, Access)
·
Required Education:
·
BA/BS degree in a technical field or 8 yrs of Supply Chain experience
Desired Qualifications:
·
Experienced People Management Skills â€" Goal setting, Delegation, Coaching, Motivating, conflict management
·
Experience utilizing business systems and tools that aid in manufacturing and financial management
·
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and solid interpersonal skills; uses appropriate levels of energy to create enthusiasm
·
Manufacturing experience in the aerospace/defense industry
·
APICS Certification: CPIM or CSCP
